What JRI will train you to do:

  • Create and execute structured lesson plans while establishing a therapeutic bond with our students.
  • Collaborate with the Special Education team to ensure top-notch academics for our students.
  • Participate in meetings with family members, collaterals, and other teams to address students' academic requirements.
  • Assist students in identifying their strengths and fostering their life skills development, providing the necessary support for their personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement is 21 years.
  • Must hold a valid license or be eligible for waiver by the Massachusetts DESE for Special Education Moderate Disabilities 5-12 and/or Secondary Education credentials.
  • Preferably possess relevant experience with grades 5-12.
  • Valid driver's license is a mandatory requirement for student transportation.
  • Training on physical interventions and verbal de-escalations will be provided to maintain a safe therapeutic environment for students.
  • Background and driving record checks will be conducted.
