Position Overview

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improves the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback. The candidate utilizes visual management tools and supportive leadership to develop the plant and teams to achieve improvements that are tracked by projects identified from customer/process opportunities and KPI tracking results, leading improvement.

Responsibilities

Execution of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and advance product quality planning tracking.

Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards.

Maintain/improve quality systems within the Indiana Division.

Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.

Lead the team and train them in problem solving activities.

Participate on improvement teams and use visual aids on all lines to communicate status.

Active member on the corporate quality improvement team.

Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings.

Track KPI Metrics.

Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering

5+ years' relevant work experience

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Six Sigma Certified

Certified Auditor

Certified IATF Auditor a plus
