Job Description:
- This position offers a Weekend Shift: AWW Shift 3x12 (FSS) 6:00PM – 6:30AM
- Designed to train individuals with minimal machining experience to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney
- Attend a 3-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training
- Operate NC milling/grinding machines and perform routine production operations
- Verify finished work conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and production personnel to resolve machining issues
Key Learning Opportunities:
- Explore Pratt and Whitney's policies and procedures
- Gain exposure to various manufacturing, inspection, and machining processes
- Observe new technologies such as additive manufacturing
- Possibilities for rotational internships
Qualifications:
- High School or GED qualification
- U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or related trades
- Ability to perform computations with decimals and fractions
- Effective management of multiple priorities
