About the job:
Performs the installation, maintenance, testing, servicing, repairing and rebuilding of
electrical distribution and power transmission systems, emergency generator systems,
service equipment, shop equipment, alarm systems, and associated controls.
What you'll do:
- Reads blueprints, installs equipment and wiring in accordance with blueprints and
- Assists the General and Mechanical Supervisors, HVAC, Electronic Technicians, Plumbers,
- Performs snow removal duties including the maintenance and operation of 4-wheel drive
- Operates electrical measuring equipment such as amprobes, DVM's and multimeters.
- Operates the building automation system. Enters and extracts data from the Computerized
- Inspects new equipment and appliances, performs leakage and safety checks, completes
- Responsilbe for maintaing low voltage systems such as nurse call, overhead paging, door
What we're looking for:
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a technical trade school,
- Licensure / Certification: Fire alarm experience is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience with electrical power distribution and
completion of a Mount Carmel training program.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Experienced in blueprint reading and knowledge of the National Electric Code.
- Experienced in the use of electrical meters, recording devices and leakage detection equipment, and the ability to use this equipment in troubleshooting malfunctions.
•Physical qualifications require near visual acuity for reading blueprints and inspecting small parts. Depth perception, peripheral vision and color vision are needed in making connections, soldering and splicing wires.
- Must have a valid Ohio driver's license.
