Salary: $50k-$55k + benefits

Position Summary

As a Billing Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that customer billing is submitted timely and accurately to third-party payers. This position will report to the Billing Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue accurate claims to payers based on customers' billing cycles
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable to ensure timely payment, including identifying and processing necessary billing adjustments
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Maintain records and documentation of billing activities
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and billing procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills

  • Experience working in billing and health care preferred (specifically Medicaid)
  • Excellent follow-up, time management, and communication skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required
  • Customer service experience preferred

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
