Human Resources Administrator

Our Opportunity

The Human Resources Administrator will provide hands-on support to designated geographic locations to include payroll, benefit administration, employee relations, unemployment, compensation and safety. In addition, this position will assist the corporate HR team on corporate-wide projects and assignments.

Key Duties Include

  • Oversee payroll and addresses concerns and ensures the payrolls are handled effectively and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to quickly resolve employee relations issues preventing escalation and potential risk and liability. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations concerning employee complaints and works with managers/employees/leadership to ensure prompt resolution of employee concerns.
  • Oversees the completion of performance management/appraisal systems.
  • File and follow up on all workers compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Coordinates the on-boarding process for all employees
  • Compiles reports for business units and corporate (HR/Safety).
  • Partners with corporate HR Team.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience (e.g. Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Staffing, Onboarding, etc.) with a strong background in Employee Relations required.
  • Experience in an HRIS/Payroll system. Paylocity is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to convey confidence, empathy and trust via candor and diplomacy to build effective relationships across all levels.
  • Ability to travel regularly to other sites.
  • Prefer experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
