JOB SUMMARY

Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's food and beverage/culinary operation, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service and Banquets/Catering, where applicable. The position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies, ensuring the food and beverage/culinary operation meets customer needs, employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing financial performance. Develops property-wide strategies to meet brand's target customer and employee needs.


CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related area.
OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related area.

  • Knowledge of providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.

  • Determining resource allocation, accounting for expenditures.

Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of resources.

  • Understanding market dynamics, enterprise objectives, strengths and weaknesses diagnosis, anticipating opportunities and risks, and developing strategies. Aligning actions with plans to drive results.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Developing and Maintaining Food and Beverage/Culinary Goals

  • Sets expectations and holds leadership team accountable for desired service behaviors. Reviews financial reports, makes recommendations for funding, and strategies for improved financial performance. Establishes realistic goals and strives for improved service performance.

Developing and Maintaining Budgets

  • Manages Food and Beverage budget, monitors sales, ensures revenue goals, focuses on maintaining profit margins, and cash control policies.

Leading Food and Beverage/Culinary Team

  • Utilizes interpersonal skills to lead, influence, advocates financial decision making, mutual trust building, attaining goals, role modeling, profit improvement, innovation, open communication, and team relationship building. Develops strategies aligned with brand's strategy, identifies opportunities, introduces new products, and market trends awareness.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

  • Empowers employees, provides exceptional service, improves service quality, reviews guest feedback, estimates cost, shares corrective actions, and service satisfaction balance.

Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

  • Provides guidance, monitors performance, supports team management, hires expertise, sets goals, communicates expectations, ensures fair treatment, and provides feedback for performance improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Updates information to stakeholders, analyzes results for problem-solving, estimates consumption, purchases equipment and supplies.
The salary range for this position is $168,000 to $220,000 annually.
