The Managing Director takes the following actions to drive Endeavor's mission:

  • Develop and sustain a network of high-caliber Entrepreneurs who support Endeavor's mission as donors, board members and mentors.
  • Build and engage a local network of committed business professionals and corporates to support a portfolio of entrepreneurs and the mission of Endeavor.
  • Proactively select, support, and manage a portfolio of High-Growth Entrepreneurs to overcome top personal and business challenges to rapidly scale revenues, jobs, and achieve success.
  • Help entrepreneurs solve critical business issues in early stage companies related to fund raising, investors, finance, sales, product, and HR.
  • Manage the National & International Selection Process for the region.
  • Be a local ambassador and thought leader on High Impact Entrepreneurship.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team across the region, i.e. Louisville (HQ), Cincinnati, & Indianapolis.
  • Manage relationships with the global teams in NYC & S.F. as well as peer offices globally.
  • Be an active, collaborative, and strategic member of the worldwide Endeavor community
  • Build, manage, and coordinate the collection and dissemination of office budget.
  • Control expenses within budget constraints. Cultivate a strong funding base and partner community to drive operational sustainability.
  • Develop and execute strategies and annual work plans for the office. Provide quarterly reporting to Endeavor Board of Directors, based on regional and global goals.
  • Adopt and implement global processes and tools, like Salesforce, Slack, Endeavor Open, etc.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in consulting, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and/or investment management as a business owner, PE or VC Operator. Experience managing an independent P&L.
  • Background that shows superior relationship and diverse stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and manage a network of committed entrepreneurs, business professionals, and staff. Experience managing boards is a plus. Must be able to comfortably interact with the earliest entrepreneur or the richest person in the country.
  • Demonstrated success as a big picture thinker who sets and achieves big goals.
  • Strong background, interest and passion for business, finance, entrepreneurship, and international development.
  • Deep strength in business areas and finance, with an ability to identify and evaluate entrepreneurs, business models, growth markets and business trends and companies.
  • A proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Small ego with high confidence. Strong work ethic with a bias toward action and a hard-worker willing to dive in to get the job done. Is open and appreciates receiving/giving feedback.
