Description

  • Overall Overview: Responsible for handling inbound and outbound customer service calls related to patient accounting inquiries, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer calls professionally and promptly, addressing concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Identify reasons for calls, assist callers appropriately, and escalate complex matters to designated experts for effective resolution.
  • Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills with proficient problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear, composed communication free of grammatical errors.
  • Ability to engage in productive conversations and comprehend customer needs effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently, creatively solve problems, and manage stressful situations.
  • Experience in interpreting managed healthcare contracts and dealing with insurance reimbursements is advantageous.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inbound call centers or customer service roles, with knowledge of hospital patient account billing and insurance reimbursements being a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Capable of prolonged computer use.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced call center setting with close work stations and headset use.
  • Potential for interaction with patients in a hospital environment.
