Surgical Technologist

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist the physician during surgical procedures by creating and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room, setting up equipment, scrubbing in, and passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.

Additionally, you will assist the surgical team in preparing the patient for transport out of the operating room and cleaning the operating room.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
  • Ability to function appropriately in a crisis or emergency situation
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and conversing effectively in English

Qualifications:

  • Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the start of employment
  • Must be nationally certified as a Surgical Technician
  • Recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute hospital operating room is preferred
