Job Summary:
Bay Area Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the operating room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment and preparing patients for surgery.
- Set up and maintain equipment, instruments, and supplies necessary for surgical procedures.
- Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
- Assist in preparing patients for transport out of the operating room and cleaning the operating room.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Recent experience in an acute hospital operating room setting.
- Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of concentration and attention to detail.
- Stand for long periods and move quickly and safely in the operating room.
