Roles and Responsibilities as an Island Guide:
  • Create a laid-back atmosphere by warmly welcoming all guests with genuine hospitality.
  • Provide exceptional service by sharing knowledge of the food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and presentation.
  • Ensure smooth cash handling, operate the point-of-sale system correctly, and adhere to Hospitality Standards.
  • Maintain a hygienic environment for team members and guests.

Requirements for a Life in Paradise:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in serving or a related field within a full-service restaurant.
  • Possession of a valid food handler's card and alcohol service certification as mandated by law.
  • Meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service and hospitality.
  • Excellent guest service capabilities.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Readiness to undertake other necessary duties to support the business.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Standing for the entirety of the shift.
  • Operation of various equipment and tools, including hand carts, blenders, knives, and wine keys.
  • Flexible shifts based on business needs.
