The Culinary Services Coordinator at Wheatland Village is responsible for providing a total quality dining experience for our residents. This includes a thorough understanding of our menu and daily specials, proper serving guidelines, cleanliness expectations, and special diets. They ensure an efficient workflow for our waitstaff and promote a culture of service excellence. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates the Generation's Mission, Vision, and Values in their daily work and interactions with others.

SCOPE OF JOB TASKS:
Oversees operation of the dining room.
Ensures servers are completing their assigned job duties before the end of their shiftCoordinates scheduling of parties and events; helps with set up, and take downDevelops and maintains server schedulesEstablishes and enforces safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards for dining roomResolves food complaints timely and appropriatelyProvides a high level of customer service and promotes a restaurant-style dining atmosphereConducts regular inventory checks to ensure the dining room is properly stocked and informs the Culinary Director of any necessary supplies and/or equipment needsSupports adherence to quality assurance processes by assisting with routine auditing of service in the dining roomAssists with set up and cleanup of parties and eventsOther duties as assigned

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Education:

A high school diploma or GED is requiredExperience:Previous experience in both restaurant and/or senior living is highly desiredSupervisory experience is highly desiredQualifications:Current Food Handler's Permit within the first 30 days of employment.

Certification in CPR and First Aid within the first 30 days of employment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Working Conditions:

May be exposed to hot, humid, sometimes dangerous conditions such as fire, chemicals, hot water, hot equipment, knives, etc.

May be exposed to slippery floors and strong odorsMay be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.

Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduledTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
