The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner plays a crucial role as a licensed professional provider collaborating with attending physicians in various practice settings at YNHHS. They deliver exceptional direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care to the highest standards of the organization within a multidisciplinary team. Acting as the focal professional for continuity of care, they adhere to scope of practice and specialty-specific standards to resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

    • Assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs throughout the disease process

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.

EXPERIENCE

Prefer clinical working experience within the specialty/service line; appointment and credentialing required for medical staff. Current competence evidence and reference letters are essential.

LICENSURE

Active PA Certification by NCCPA, State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certified, DEA License, and additional certifications may be necessary.

Active RN License, State NP License, specialty certification, ACLS/BLS Certified, DEA License, and additional certifications may be necessary.

Additional Information

This position supports gynecology services, requires a minimum of one year experience as an APP, and prefers experience in Women's Health and/or Ambulatory setting. It is based in the Stamford region with travel to multiple sites during Monday-Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.
