  • Our office is located in Newport Beach, and we are looking to add a medical assistant or ophthalmic technician to the team immediately
  • This is a fulltime position, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities include:

  • Room patients, start clinical workup, and answer any general questions or forward patient questions or concerns to the practice doctor
  • Use of electronic medical records and maintain patient charts
  • Input medical notes
  • Prepare treatment area by sterilizing, positioning, and delivering instruments
  • Answer telephones, schedule appointments, help complete medical histories
  • Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner
  • Comfortably and efficiently handle multiple deadlines and task assignments
  • Able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically

Requirements:

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Must be flexible and understand that job duties may change from time to time and he/she may be asked to assist in other areas of the office
  • Must excel in forward thinking in order to anticipate the needs of the doctor as well as the patient

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician
  • Preferred two years of medical practice experience
  • Knowledge of facial cosmetic surgery procedures and injections like Botox, Juvederm, IPL / laser, etc. a plus
  • Experience with Ophthalmology or surgical services highly desirable
  • Is customer service oriented and able to deal with patient requests in a friendly manner
  • Has a teamplayer mindset and an ability to keep a positive attitude
  • Is punctual, hardworking, and willing to help out in all areas of the practice
  • Is upbeat and cheerful
