The CILA Support Director will be responsible for creating and maintain an atmosphere of quality, independence, fun, community and person-centered services for individuals living in a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA).

:

Support and Promote CTF ILLINOIS' Mission, Vision and Values. Ensure each individual's rights are maintained. Implement and monitor each individual's Personal Care Plan/Implementation Strategy and ensure that staff are following as directed. Complete, submit and provide necessary follow up for any injury, incident or medication error. Oversee the implementation of the home's person-centered and active-treatment programs, goals, schedules, and services. Coordinate and oversee individual participation in the community, including special events and memberships. Ensure daily documentation is done by DSPs to document and communicate services provided, progress made, activities and choices offered. Maintain an active presence within the home to ensure that the operation is meeting the standards of CTF ILLINOIS and meeting the needs and choices of the individuals that reside there. Ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the home and vehicle assigned to meet CTF ILLINOIS' standards, including coordinating required maintenance, safety inspections and emergency drills. Adhere to each home's budgetary requirement in the areas of staffing levels, supplies, equipment and utilities. Submit accurate and timely reports to the business office, including, but not limited to: individual attendance, payroll information, and purchasing. Ensure adequate and appropriate food items, home and personal goods and supplies to meet each individual's needs. Ensure that each individual is groomed and dressed based on personal style and cleanliness. Interview, hire, train, mentor, supervise, discipline, evaluate, and terminate DSPs. Organize and confirm that all DSPs have completed DSP training, including the OJT and medication administration, within 120 days of hire. Communicate policies & procedures, ISPs, and choice by scheduling and participating in ongoing DSP meetings, trainings, and individual council meetings, at least monthly. Assure each home has a sufficient number of trained DSPs scheduled, including for medication administration, for each shift. Monitor and manage employee performance for adherence to established CTF ILLINOIS' policy and performance standards. Address lack of adherence timely, and conduct at a minimum annual performance evaluations. Coordinate with nursing and other professional staff to ensure the health of each individual is communicated, maintained, and documented. Oversee ER visits and hospital admissions, and assist with medical and psychiatric appointments as necessary. Ensure that medication rooms are in order, authorized DSPs follow self-administration procedures, accurate documentation is completed on the MARs, check in monthly medications, and medication changes are implemented timely and accurately. Monitor individual funds, maintaining a complete and accurate accounting system of incoming funds and purchases. Ensure that complaints and grievances, by individuals, staff and stakeholders, are investigated thoroughly in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as OIG guidelines. Maintain a working knowledge of current Federal, State, and membership regulations and compliance, DHS, CQL, HIPPA, OSHA, labor laws, as well as professional standards, and ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain open and frequent communication with guardians, natural support networks, ISC, and other stakeholders. Carry a cell phone, participate in on-call rotation as required, and respond in a timely manner to all calls and steady care. Monitor survey process by attending all surveys and maintaining a positive rapport with surveyors. Assist in opening and/or acquiring new facilities, as necessary. Organize, oversee, and participate in special projects including, revisions to policies and procedures, individual special events and vacations, and staff appreciation and training events. Assist in representing the organization in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies, and third party payers. Participate in a peer review quality assurance rotation. Adhere to terms and conditions of employment as outlined by the CTF ILLINOIS Employee Handbook and job description As required by DHS, complete an additional 12 hours of continuing education units per year, at least 6 of which will be provided from outside the agency and submit certificates of completion to appropriate parties within CTF ILLINOIS Complete DHS-approved DSP training curriculum within 60 days of hire. Complete DHS-approved QIDP training curriculum within 6 months of hire. CILA Support Directors are eligible for long/short term disability Eligible for medical, vision, and dental insurance plans Voluntary Life/AD&D Critical Illness and Accident Enrolled in a 20,000 company life insurance plan upon hire Flexible spending account options

Qualifications

Strongly preferred: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a human services field from a four-year college or university;. Minimum 1 years experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly. Requires strong supervisory skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), and/or other applications. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills. Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations. Must be a self-starter who can work well with people.
