We are currently seeking Seasonal Field Technicians to join our Team for the 2025 construction season. This seasonal project is anticipated to run from April through November in Wausau, WI. The project involves the replacement of lead water service lines (LSLs). You will work with our LSL Team to provide field inspection and documentation during the replacement of residential water service lines in the City of Wausau. Training will be provided. This project has a direct impact on improving the safety and reliability of drinking water for residents.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works as a part of the project. 
  • Maintains accurate documentation of the contractor’s activities.
  • Ability to measure and illustrate (graphically and in narrative) the location of the water service line and the work associated with its installation.
  • Take and upload photographs of complete work. 
  • Collaborates effectively with other field and office staff as part of the Project Team to complete tasks. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Willingness to learn about the requirements associated with the replacement of residential LSLs.. 
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to be on-site at the assigned location when work begins each day. 
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed daily logs and follow through on outstanding items.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the project team.
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, and Word) and a tablet/smartphone to document the field activities.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be able to travel to project sites in Wausau daily.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work outside on un-even terrain with exposure to the elements (heat, cold, rain & snow) and noise levels associated with construction activities. Inside duties will include climbing stairs and accessing basements or crawl spaces to verify water service line connections. Compensation 

As an employee-owned firm, Clark Dietz offers a positive, team-focused culture and an excellent compensation package including: Starting salary range: $25 - $35/hr. plus OT and $1,000 project completion bonus.
