KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects orders from storage room. Visually verifies stock received against written request with storage personnel, to ensure accuracy of the order. Upon delivery to the bar, double-checks items with bartender to ensure everything is included.
  • Prepares perishable garnishes and fruits by cutting, slicing, and peeling, mixes and pours juices in appropriate quantities according to expected business volume. Stores additional supplies requiring refrigeration in designated containers for future use.
  • Monitors and supports bartender in maintaining sufficient supplies, such as stir sticks, napkins, matches, etc., for both the immediate bar area and surrounding service zones.
  • Ensures cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigeration, and storage spaces to adhere to health code regulations.
  • Scoops ice from ice bins, transports it to service areas, and refills ice containers as needed.
  • Boxes and stores empty liquor bottles for later returns and requests.
  • Transports and replaces taps, and performs regular maintenance on heavy beer kegs.
  • Follow attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Complete any other assigned job duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in English. Demonstrates initiative with a consistent demeanor. Maintains a professional image and attitude consistently. Capable of engaging well with guests. Willingness to assist colleagues with tasks and be a cooperative team member. Basic math skills are necessary to ensure accurate delivery quantities and understand portion sizes.

Manual dexterity is essential for tasks involving knife handling, glassware and bottle handling, ice scooping, keg tapping, and stocking items overhead.

Ability to understand written product labels to safely apply products and procedures within the hotel environment.

Capable of lifting, bending, carrying, or moving goods on a hand cart/truck weighing up to 150 lbs., consistently.

Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, from room temperature to refrigerated settings.
