Vaco – Boston has partnered with our client, an asset management firm looking to add a Sales Specialist to their team.

This is a full time, permanent position for a candidate with working knowledge and interest in the financial marketplace including stocks, bonds, international investing, and currency.


Responsibilities:
Strategically collaborate in the creation, implementation and execution of the territory marketing and sales strategy.
Plan, prepare and initiate sales calls to financial professionals regarding investment products.
Develop new prospects and maintain existing relationships with a focus on increasing sales in the territory.

Coordinate planning of broker dealer meetings, seminars, conference calls and meetings involving external financial professionals, Portfolio Managers, and all levels of management within the Distribution organization.

Rely on extensive industry knowledge and experience to collaborate with the wholesaler in achieving established sales goals for the territory.

Utilize technology tools as well as analyze firm and third-party data to uncover opportunities, improve targeting of advisors/teams and narrow focus for sales/product campaigns to increase sales, retain assets and diversify the business.

Develop an understanding of key accounts, BD platforms, investment strategies, and competitive landscape for use in developing new prospects and maintain existing relationships.

Proactive & coordinated use of digital marketing and social media.

Skills & Experience Required:


Bachelor's degree One to three years of financial industry experienceExperience working in a sales environmentAbility to build, maintain and develop relationshipsSeries 6 or Series 7 and Series 63 licenses preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Previously held Series 6 and Series 63 licenses that are inactive will be considered, provided that all required exams are retaken and passed within three months of hire dateThe ability to work individually and as a team member in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and presentation skills required
