Position Overview:
The Service Provider Project Manager will oversee and manage technical projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
This role involves significant customer interaction within a transport/satellite environment and requires a deep understanding of wireless and 5G technologies.
Location:
Remote MST hours (Must be MST/CST/PST)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation/discovery to execution and closure.
Build and maintain delivery schedules and/or heatmaps to track the status of multiple sites.
Utilize all MS tools at an intermediate level (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Effectively use Jira for project tracking and management.
Facilitate meetings, take accurate meeting notes, and ensure follow-ups are conducted.
Manage project scope by thoroughly understanding and adhering to contract terms.
Oversee project financials, including cost/revenue forecasting and budgeting.
Manage customer expectations and maintain professional customer interactions.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Must Have Skills:
Proven experience in managing technical projects from start to finish.
In-depth knowledge of wireless and 5G technologies.
Ability to ask the right questions to understand project scope and team activities.
Experience in customer-facing roles within a transport/satellite environment.
Strong organizational and self-driven skills.
Excellent communication and professional customer interaction skills.
Experience in facilitating calls, taking detailed meeting notes, and following up on action items.
Proficient in using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Familiarity with Jira for project management.
Excellent project scope management.
Experience in managing project financials, including cost/revenue forecasting.
Background in managing customer expectations in a service provider environment.
Education/Certification Requirements:
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Agile background and certifications are highly desirable
