Job Summary:

The Materials & Process Engineering Department has an opening for a Senior Low Observable Design, Analysis, & Test Engineer.

This position is in Tucson, AZ (Onsite)

We are seeking Engineers to join the Signature Management & Technology Team. At Raytheon, you will be part of a team whose responsibilities span the full lifecycle of the product- from initial conceptual design to modeling and analysis, from component to missile level RCS testing, and production support to maintainability.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • The selected individual will document all activities pertaining to test preparation, data analysis, design trades, prediction results, and others.
  • You will work within integrated product teams (IPT) and support all aspects of that team's design efforts with some direction from Senior Low Observables Engineer
  • Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers
  • Mentor early career engineers
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10 years of engineering experience in Low Observable (LO) engineering
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computational electromagnetic codes to include full wave codes, as well as asymptotic techniques using industry standard tools such as XPATCH, CARLOS, SENTRi, etc.
  • Master's degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language
  • Experience with Infrared signature analysis and control
  • Experience in Stealth (design, analysis, computational electro-magnetics (CEM), and/or test)

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
