Job Title:
Program Coordinator - Global Health and Global Infectious Disease - Georgetown University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences

Job Overview:

The Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering the programs' learning communities through marketing, student recruitment, ongoing student support, and providing administrative assistance to faculty.

They collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs, the program directors, and other team members to address the requirements of the 12 Interdisciplinary Studies Programs while managing program-specific responsibilities.


  • Creating an equitable and diverse community
  • Handling marketing and recruitment efforts, including digital media
  • Providing student success and academic affairs support
  • Offering general administrative assistance, including human resources tasks
  • Managing expenses and monitoring the budget
  • Assisting with events coordination
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations

Work Interactions:

The Program Coordinator collaborates closely with the Associate Director of Interdisciplinary Programs and the faculty program directors on various operational matters within the Graduate School Dean's Office.

They engage with faculty, prospective students, current students, alumni, vendors, industry contacts, and other stakeholders, and maintain internal communication with university departments such as Graduate Admissions, Office of Global Services, and Financial Affairs.



Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience managing multiple projects with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community
  • Excellent communication skills in customer service and conflict resolution
  • Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable
  • Proficient with technology and quick to learn new tools
  • Understanding of confidential communication practices and file management

Work Mode Designation:
This role will be designated as Hybrid (once training is complete). Please note that work mode designations are subject to periodic review to align with the university's evolving needs.
