NewQuest is searching for dynamic and engaging leaders to join our development team. We have a large pipeline of projects and are searching for the right people to help facilitate our growth.
The Project Manager, Land Development will be part of a dynamic development team working on ground-up developments including large-scale mixed-use, power centers, neighborhood strip centers, pad sites, and general land infrastructure projects. This role will interact with all service lines associated with our development process including legal, finance, marketing, brokerage, property management, and executive leadership.
Candidates should have a strong background in Texas land development and engineering, should be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, and be energetic team player.
Position: Project Manager, Land Development
Location: Houston, Texas (in office)
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the land acquisition teams to assess target site development viability, development cost, and timeline.
Due diligence and entitlements on prospective and existing projects including detailed understanding of geotechnical reports, environmental studies, and infrastructure planning.
Implement and oversee development processes from project inception to delivery of finished sites for vertical construction.
Cost estimating and budgeting of various projects ranging from public and private infrastructure to road improvements.
Consulting team coordination
Project tracking and scheduling
Government coordination and permitting including meeting with jurisdictional officials during the due diligence process and throughout the project life
Track and communicate schedules and project milestones
Assist Senior Development Managers and other development team members in various capacities on a variety of projects
Travel will sometimes be required, as will unusual work hours related to governmental coordination necessary with development processes
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Land Development, Construction or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Results-oriented with the ability to achieve and exceed targets
Ability to perform a variety of responsibilities with attention to detail, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Must take initiative, be resourceful, prioritize and perform within a team environment while maintaining focus and multitasking in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Proficiency with scheduling and tracking software
Must have a vehicle and a valid Texas drivers license
