SURVEY PROJECT MANAGER, PLS Location:
Houston, TX Compensation: $110k - $130k OVERVIEW We are seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our team. The Survey Project Manager will oversee the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality control, and completion of professional survey services.

The role also involves training and mentoring junior staff, ensuring client satisfaction, and engaging in business development under the guidance of the Survey and Market Leaders within the Land Region and Division.

Duties and Responsibilities Establishes project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements. Oversees project budget and evaluates project profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.

Accountable for overall project profitability, participation in continuous improvement processes, knowledge transfer, client feedback processes including soliciting feedback and following up, and project success.

Conducts team meetings with the project team to evaluate and coordinate project activities. Keeps updated on industry-specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment. Promotes innovation to drive value.

Collaborates with the survey service leader to establish, implement, monitor, and maintain procedures and quality standards for the survey group.

Ensures survey work products have a consistent appearance across the local land survey team and are delivered efficiently. Works with the survey service leader and market leaders on staffing, utilization, and workload related to survey projects.

Partners with the division survey service leader, survey service leader, and market leader to expand the Company's local and national land survey presence, focusing on strategic pursuits of large survey projects such as due diligence portfolios, construction services, or large-scale cadastral surveys.

Supports office and market-based business development by providing technical expertise and generating revenue.

Fosters a strong culture for survey that aligns with the division's goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as the Company's core values.

Ensures the division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices are consistently followed within the survey service. Leads by example, demonstrating solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. Required Experience Professional Survey License Licensed in the state of the office. Additional states preferred. A four-year degree is preferred with 10-plus years of experience in a consulting business. Must have multi-discipline experience and a strong understanding of commercial, residential, and public infrastructure markets and projects. Over 5 years' experience in the land surveying industry. Must have a strong background in project management. Effective verbal communication skills and the ability to exercise independent judgment are essential. Proven leadership and supervisory skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively. Extensive knowledge and experience in business development.
