The

Sales Director, Payer Sales,


will play a pivotal role in MedeAnalytics' go-to-market team, significantly contributing to our strategic growth plans to further penetrate the healthcare payer marketplace across North America.

This candidate will be expected to develop meaningful and productive relationships with both internal colleagues and a wide array of leaders at healthcare payer organizations across the assigned territory.

The individual must be a highly motivated, experienced healthcare IT sales professional with the proven ability to consult, solve

and sell SaaS technology & capabilities to healthcare payers.

Sales Territory (ideal candidate would reside in one of these states): TX, OK, MO, IL, WI, MI, IN, OH, KY, TN, LA, AR, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, WV, VA, MD, DE, PA, NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Use consultative selling techniques in conjunction with a strong understanding of market drivers and technology to construct, present and sell innovative capability-based (vs. product-based) deals

Carry and exceed a multi-million-dollar annual sales quota

Develop and manage territory plans and pipeline development strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas

Use existing contacts, LinkedIn, search engines and other external data sources (e.g., AIS) to identify and connect with decision-makers, buyers and key stakeholders at targeted healthcare payers in assigned territory

Proactive and persistent outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels to develop qualified leads and, in turn, opportunities across prospects in the assigned territory

Successfully navigate complex buying processes (including RFP responses), negotiate and close contracts

Work directly with the MedeAnalytics Product and Marketing teams to bring new solutions and capabilities to market

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred

7+ years of experience in consultative selling of SaaS-based technology & capabilities to the healthcare payer market


Strong domain expertise in areas such as value-based care (VBC), population health, HEDIS/Quality, network optimization, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicaid, Medicare, care management, provider contracting, etc.

Strong understanding of technology such as data activation, data fabric, public cloud, interoperability, etc.

Experience working with data and visualization/analytics solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a significant plus

Ability to consult on and then construct innovative capability-based (vs. product-based) deals

Experience selling technology-based consulting engagements is a plus

Track record of exceeding a multi-million-dollar annual sales quota

Demonstrated sales track record in highly competitive environments with the ability to identify and prospect new logo opportunities, successfully navigate complex buying processes (including RFP responses), negotiate and close contracts

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information:
MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $160-185k + Commission Opportunities USD.
