The Role:

Join the expanding team at Builders Mutual as an Underwriter Trainer. This position plays a crucial role in the company's success through providing training and quality assurance analysis within the Underwriting Department. Responsibilities include training new and existing employees, assessing training needs, creating tailored training plans, implementing effective training methods, and ensuring the continual improvement of knowledge, skills, and performance within the department.

As an Underwriter Trainer, you will:

• Continuously evaluate and train core technical competencies within the Underwriting Department, focusing on Express Account Underwriters.
• Coordinate and conduct in-person and remote training sessions for new hires.
• Identify training needs and create customized training plans and resources.
• Develop, deliver, and measure training programs.
• Track and report on training program progress.
• Perform quality reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with various teams to maintain training programs and materials.
• Contribute to departmental quality assurance and training needs.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Experience with Express Accounts.
• Strong knowledge of Builders Mutual's lines of business.
• Proficiency in various software programs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
