Job Description

About the Position

This is a professional managerial position reporting to a Program Director or Manager. This position generally provides program support in all areas related to program administration. Work requires the analysis of complex problems, planning of various interrelated activities, and the coordination of effort of multiple projects or functions, in addition to formulating and maintaining programmatic budgets.

Essential Functions/Duties
  • Supports the establishment of policies and procedures governing selection and progression of students through the program.
  • Assist in assembling and compiling all materials required for accreditation or certification of the program.
  • Supports the dissemination of program information to appropriate college recipients (administrators, advisors, faculty, and program students).
  • Supports the evaluation of the preparation of students for entry into the program and in the administration of the selection process if a limited access program.
  • Assists in coordinating practicums, clinicals, internships, joint ventures and/or work-related educational experiences for program students.
  • Supports the acquisition of ancillary demonstration materials from appropriate vendors.
  • Coordinates marketing and recruiting activities for the program including Open Houses, brochures, web page, etc.
  • Supports the Program Director in the daily operations of the program (i.e., addressing student inquiries, appraising Program Director of specific program concerns/issues, etc.)
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of professional training and development program design.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional method theory, and practical applications.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with a variety of contacts of considerable importance within, and outside of, the college. Contacts outside the college where lack of tact or judgment may result in negative college relations to a limited degree.
  • Ability to work independently with the responsibility for planning details and methods to obtain definite objectives and to make decisions within broad limitations of policy and professional standards.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with college personnel.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Salary and Benefits Information
  • This position is a level P14. Please see below for specific hourly range.
Required Education
  • Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education
  • Additional credentials including a Masters Degree and/or industry certification(s) may be required depending on the program area.
Required Experience
  • Three (3) years of clinical and/or educational experience in the program specialty with one year instruction of ground flight school.
  • Eligibility for all required licensures required.
