Responsibilities

The candidate will contribute to Draper's efforts in the design, development, test, analysis, verification, and validation of embedded system software for mission assured systems. Activities will include contributing to the entire software life cycle from conceptualization and requirements analysis through final software verification and validation. Corresponding engineering documentation of the architecture, design, test plans, and analyses will also be required for all phases of the programs. The individual will be expected to maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise in tools, techniques, and methods used in the development, maintenance, and certification of mission critical and embedded software systems, with emphasis on their application to guidance, navigation, and control systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Excellent computer and analytical skills with understanding of full-lifecycle software development
  • Experience with Linux, C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with UML/SysML tools
  • Experience with static analysis
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Experience with data analysis and post processing
  • Experience with configuration management (git)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in the design, coding and testing of guidance, navigation and control system software is preferred
  • Experience with asynchronous or multi-threaded programming
  • Experience with LDRA
  • Experience with MagicDraw
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience maintaining requirements in DOORS

Security Requirements:

  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government top security clearance.
  • Preference for existing top secret security clearance.
