Position Title:
Admissions Fair Staff Supervisor

Rate of Pay:
$22.00 per hour

Position Purpose:

Supervises the employees and processes of the Admissions Department including Admissions Tickets Sales and Parking Sales during the annual OC Fair.

This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and audits Admissions Ticket Seller cash, credit card activity, and inventory of all tickets sold and unsold.
  • Tracks employee activity related to cash handling violations and addresses discrepancies with individual employees.
  • Oversees employee timekeeping to ensure accuracy.
  • Provides leadership and direction to department employees.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains Admissions Ticket Sellers and Leads.
  • Creates employee work schedules for multiple shifts.
  • Addresses employee relations issues related to employee behavior and performance.
  • Orders needed supplies for the department including uniforms, office supplies and equipment.
  • Generates nightly sales reports and distributes accordingly.
  • Reports to department supervisor and director all cash handling violations and discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience supervising a large staff, preferably in field locations.
  • Previous experience supervising a cash operation involving handling and exchanging money.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience handling customer complaints.
  • Must be familiar with different types of tickets and be able to operate a ticketing system.
  • Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
  • Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

Will work in a fast-paced, environment in both indoor and outdoor locations during all types of weather.
