Instructor Banking and Finance - Adjunct Pool Houston, Texas
Provide the expertise and knowledge that support the college curriculum and programs. Establish courses following accepted higher education standards, teach students using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engagement and support activities that encourage student learning.
- Teaching:
- Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in teaching discipline.
- Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction.
- Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress.
- Keep accurate student records.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend student textbooks.
- Utilize technology in the classroom.
- Teach courses at various times and locations.
- Academic Advising:
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Provide academic advice to students.
- Make presentations on academic fields and opportunities.
- Professional Development:
- Establish annual objectives for professional growth.
- Stay updated with developments in the discipline.
- Participate in the evaluation process.
- Institutional and Community Service:
- Participate in institutional service activities.
- Actively participate in department, college, or system meetings.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining program and college accreditation standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or higher required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience or three (3) to ten (10) years of related work experience required.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
- Skilled in computer usage and software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
