  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Experience using Microsoft software products, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience compiling and analyzing data.
  • Experience creating reports.
  • Possession of a Fire Inspection Certification FS within 12 months of employment.

This position will be filled at the base salary of $32,760.00 which is non-negotiable.

  • Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle._
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data.
  • Ability to organize files and other records.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to handle telephone calls in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use computer equipment and software programs.
  • Ability to type.
  • Ability to safely operate motor vehicle.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Assist in Educational training programs for local fire services, state agencies, private industry, and the general public.
  • Provides some administrative and logístical support to office staff within a region office. Prepares replies for routine documents, tracks, and ensures response in a timely manner. Coordinates travel arrangements and processes paperwork in a timely manner. Operates and/or utilizes a variety of standard office machines and computer equipment and software.
  • Arranges material for supervisor's use in public speaking or classroom presentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
