WSP is currently initiating a search for a CEI Inspector for our Tampa office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
Job Description
  • Monitoring on-site construction activities
  • Inspecting ( sampling and testing ) materials in accordance with client's scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)
  • Maintaining detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events
  • Preparing inspection reports ( Daily Work Reports )
  • Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client's requirements)
  • Transporting samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility
  • Fulfilling other duties as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Responsible for assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications
  • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
  • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
  • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
  • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
  • IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
  • FDOT Intermediate MOT
  • Nuclear Radiation Safety
  • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification
  • Program for Inspectors and Contractors
  • PCC Paving Inspection (TC3)

Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
