Overview

Under general supervision of the CFO, accomplishes the objectives of the Accounting & Finance Department and all Cage and Warehouse Operations (includes shipping & receiving function) by planning, organizing and managing all functions required to maximize return on company assets, establishes policies, procedures, controls with detailed audit trails, and reporting systems. Ensures all accounting functions are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Master's degree and CPA preferred.
  • Seven (7) years accounting or finance experience.
  • Five (5) years in a management capacity.
  • Five (5) years Gaming and Hospitality experience.
  • Prior gaming and hospitality experience must contain a proven track record of identifiable experience within each of the following areas:
    • Administrative and regulatory compliance
    • Creating, writing implementing internal controls, policies & procedures
    • Cross functional communication skills with other departments
    • Employee recruitment and onboarding
    • Employee training and accountability
    • Employee coaching and development
    • Financial reporting and analysis
    • Knowledge of modern gaming software and technology systems
    • Labor management, scheduling, and analytics
    • Product and service procurement and purchasing
    • Vendor procurement, relations and negotiation
  • Experience with casino credit, iGaming and sports betting is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass background check, with no prior convictions of any felonies.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Osage Nation Gaming License.
  • Osage preference and Native American Indian preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.


Responsibilities

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hosts regular staff meetings to ensure communication among personnel regarding departmental activities.
  • Oversees and supervises staff for proper work allocation, scheduling, training and counseling. Directly supervises all Department Managers
  • Conducts annual department evaluations and assessments of department components and staff according to established policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Actively and effectively leads or delegates any recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, evaluating, coaching and counseling of departmental employees.
  • Obtains, develops and maintains necessary personnel, systems and equipment to achieve financial, operational and compliance expectations of the Enterprise.

GUEST SERVICE:

  • Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
  • Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude.
  • Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guest and staff.

COMMUNICATION:

  • Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated to assigned staff and ensures staff concerns, request for information and ideas for improvement are effectively relayed to management.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the area of responsibility by presiding over scheduled meetings with staff and team members as required.
  • Stays informed of company information and communications by reviewing all e-mails, digital boards and SharePoint.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.


Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Principles and practices in all facets of accounting, finance and business administration.
  • Standards, policies, practices and procedures of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards.
  • Development, preparation and control of budgets.
  • Managerial and statistical analysis techniques and reporting procedures.
  • Operation of business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience/knowledge of casino accounting, compliance systems, such as, Konami Synkros, Sage Intacct, Casino Cash Trac and NRT - Aura (Title 31) is preferred.
  • Preparation, review, and analysis of operational and financial reports.
  • Leadership, supervision, training and evaluating department staff.
  • Analysis of problems, projecting consequences, identifying solutions and implementing recommendations.
  • Effective communication both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds at all levels.
  • Strict confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to create and present effective visual presentations.
  • Analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action.
  • Work independently and meet strict planned or unexpected timelines.
  • Decision-making and exercise independent judgment.

  • Manage multiple priorities, simultaneously, independently or amongst others.
  • Interpret applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Required to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Sit, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch while performing duties.
  • Use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Use arms to reach and lift above shoulders.
  • Normal auditory and good verbal communication.
  • Lift, push or pull upwards of 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is typically performed within an office, casino or hotel environment.
  • Potential exposure to second-hand smoke and increased noise levels.
  • Evening and weekend shifts may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
