Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute complex engineering projects from inception to deployment, aligning with strategic goals and demonstrating visionary leadership and empathy.

  • In close coordination with Product Management, establish clear, achievable goals and objectives for the engineering team, ensuring that these targets are in sync with product roadmaps and overall business strategy.
  • Implement methodologies that enhance efficiency, quality, and team satisfaction, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources efficiently to support team performance, advocating for an integrated, innovative approach, refining development processes, and promoting a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends to integrate innovative practices, fostering collaboration across departments for aligned engineering efforts and customer satisfaction enhancement.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of Java, JavaScript, , Neo4j, Python, and PostgreSQL (part of our stack) + AWS.
  • At least 2 years of engineering leadership experience as a Tech Lead, Manager, or Architect.
  • At least 5 years of full stack software engineering experience, across multiple languages and tools.
  • Experience managing a globally-dispersed remote engineering team for a B2B SaaS platform.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively to non-technical audiences and advocate for technological integrity.

Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, you will spearhead the execution of Kharon's strategic and complex engineering projects, driving the initiatives that align with our roadmap and objectives, and demonstrating adaptability and visionary leadership. Leading a team of globally-dispersed engineers, you'll provide expert guidance in designing and architecting scalable solutions, ensuring that they are robust, efficient, and future-proof. Operating cross functionally, you will cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across our organization, serving as a bridge between the engineering team and other departments.

To be successful in this role, you'll need the technical skills to understand how to solve engineering problems, the interpersonal savvy to motivate the team, and coordination abilities to encourage the rest of the organization to achieve Kharon's goals. Promoting an integrated approach to problem-solving, you will lead the ongoing refinement of software development processes and implement methodologies that enhance efficiency, quality, and team satisfaction, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The base salary range at Kharon is set between $180,000 and $200,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
