As a Software Engineer, you'll analyze, develop, and design solutions for our application software.

In our Agile environment, you'll do this by performing technical design, coding with test automation, support, and documentation of software application modifications.

Ultimately, through continuous integration, development and testing, you'll ensure we deliver quality code. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new user stories and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) to production
Tends to Associate Application Engineers by providing learning tasks as well as work related tasks, directs the work of Senior Associate Application Engineers, and helps them continue to grow
Contributes to and leads technology communities at Discover

Bachelors – Computer Science or Related
~3+ Years – Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related
~ 3+ years experience with Java Development
~3+ years experience with Java Application Servers with one or more of the following: CI/CD Pipeline experience via Jenkins, Github Actions, Chef, Ansible, Nexus
~ Experience in working in a cloud environment such as AWS.
~ Building Integration with external systems
~ Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server).
~ Experience in programming languages (Unix scripting, Java, Python, JavaScript (React), etc.) Experience in Application framework (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Postman, Docker, Jenkins, Maven).
~ Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team
