BETA is looking for an experienced Lead Traffic Engineer to spearhead the traffic engineering team in Manchester, NH.
This role involves overseeing technical designs, development of projects from conceptual to final design, preparing contract plans and documents, mentoring staff, managing traffic projects, and engaging in business development and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise design on traffic and transportation projects
- Perform detailed traffic analysis, signal design, modeling, and simulation
- Manage traffic projects and serve as a technical design lead
- Review and prepare traffic-related contract documents
- Provide responsive client service and mentor junior staff
- Attend client meetings and engage in business development activitiesCollaborate with internal teams and office locations on projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- PE license required, PTOE preferred
- 12 to 18 years of traffic engineering experience
- Proficiency in Synchro, SimTraffic, and Vissim
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D and Microstation Connect
- Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, and DOT design policy guidelines
