is seeking a

Lab Analyst

to work in our

Dayton

facility.
Basic Duties and Responsibilities
Properly receive and log all incoming samples.
Follow standard operating procedures for all testing parameters.
Prepare standards and reagents required for proper calibration of instrumentation.
Prepare analytical reports and properly communicate any off-spec results with management.
Conduct inventory and/or purchasing of laboratory consumables.
Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.
Properly move and handle compressed gas cylinders.
Participate in quarterly laboratory safety audits.
Adhere to all applicable Health and Safety rules and regulations within the facility and laboratory. Wear PPE as required by the facility.
Function in an industrial environment adjacent to plant operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Laboratory Safety & Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Knowledge of gas chromatography (GC using ECD/MS), inductively coupled plasma (ICP-OES), physical testing, flash point testing, etc.
Experience with EPA and other regulatory methods.
Proficiency with Microsoft, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Access.
Experience with Chromeleon, ChemStation, and Qtegra software preferred but not required.
Basic Requirements and Qualifications
1+ year of experience working in a laboratory environment.
Associate or bachelors degree in chemistry or related field, preferred.
Work hours: 9 am 5 pm, may vary upon request, with weekends as required.
Ability to work a 12-hour shift, if needed.
Use good interpersonal skills
Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening process if offered this position. This includes a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if applicable for the position).
