We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented IT Service Desk Specialist to support our US Courts client.

Duties and responsibilities include:

The IT Service Desk Specialist - Hosting Services is a crucial team member responsible for providing comprehensive support in IT service onboarding projects, strategic requirements, and service improvements, with a specialized focus on Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and expertise in hosting services, particularly VMware virtual/hosted desktop environments. Operating within the framework of industry best practices and the AO's IT Project Management Framework, the Specialist actively contributes to integration, scope, time, cost, communications, risk, and stakeholder management activities. This includes executing project charters, managing schedules, estimating costs, implementing communication plans, and addressing risks, emphasizing AD DS integration and proficiency in supporting VMware virtual/hosted desktop environments. The role involves collaborating with diverse stakeholders, ensuring project adherence to constraints, and supporting the timely closure of projects while aligning with Microsoft technologies. The IT Service Desk Specialist - Hosting Services plays a crucial role in contributing to the overall success of the EOC Onboarding Services Team (EOST) by efficiently managing tasks through project lifecycle phases and achieving organizational goals, with expertise in hosting services related to Microsoft Active Directory and proficiency in supporting VMware virtual/hosted desktop environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • IT Service Desk experience
  • Current VMware Certification OR 3+ years experience supporting a VMware virtual/hosted desktop environment
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Prefer experience working at US Courts
  • ITILv4, VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) and/or Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate certification(s) desired

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

*This position is contingent on contract award to Gunnison Consulting.
