  • Receive, rotate, and organize inventory efficiently using FIFO
  • Manage expiration dates to avoid waste; notify managers a week before items expire

  • Anticipate needs based on menu knowledge
  • Proactively maintain cleanliness of storage areas

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

Education/Degree

Preferred

- High School Degree or GED

- Possess or obtain Serv Safe certificate within first year of employment

Experience

- 3-5 years' experience in hospital, institutional, hotel, or restaurant receiving department

Skills

- Effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills in English

- Flexible work schedule availability (including evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel)

- Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a team member

Preferred

- Strong communications and interpersonal skills with diverse populations

- Ability to anticipate challenges and implement strategies to address them

- High level of service delivery and recovery; show initiative, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes
