Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Cashier to join our dynamic team at Compass Group. This role is essential in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing a variety of food items, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, while also supporting catering orders.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately, ensuring cash transactions are processed correctly and maintaining cash drawer integrity.
  • Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks, including removing trash and maintaining cleanliness in all service areas.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service in all retail areas, including cashiering and serving food items to customers.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock supplies and food products, ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Food Safety: Set up serving lines and ensure food temperatures are monitored and recorded, alerting kitchen staff if temperatures fall outside acceptable ranges.
  • Daily Operations: Prepare items for sale daily, ensuring the refrigerator is stocked and products are rotated following the first in, first out rule.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall operation.
