Position Purpose
The Veterinary Technician supports veterinarians and lead technicians in patient care, monitors hospitalized pets, manages inventory, prepares prescriptions, conducts in-house lab work, educates clients on veterinary care, and assists in surgical procedures.

- Active Listening: Following instructions from veterinarians and clients, understanding needs based on experiences and feedback.
- Organization Skills: Maintaining clear tracking of lab specimens, medications, workflow, and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Client Satisfaction: Ensuring all interactions lead to highest client satisfaction levels.
- Assist in veterinary medicine practice, surgeries, and other tasks as required.
- Support veterinarians in exams, prepare patients for surgery, and monitor vital signs.
- Perform laboratory tests, obtain samples, and handle radiographs.
- Administer medications, handle animals during exams, maintain cleanliness in medical areas, and interact professionally with clients.
- Communicate effectively within the team and with clients.
- Perform any assigned duties as needed.
- Previous veterinary experience preferred.
- Able to handle patients and equipment up to 25 pounds, with assistance for over 25 pounds.
- Follow OSHA safety protocols, have basic math skills, computer literacy, and strong communication abilities.
