Key Responsibilities- Provide sedation and anesthesia services for lab animals in the perioperative, operative, and post-operative settings.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of clinical animal records.
- Monitor and maintain clinical equipment, including anesthesia machines and ventilators.
- Collaborate with investigators and research staff to develop and implement research protocols.
- Teach and train investigators, veterinary residents, and technical staff on various technical procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all applicable regulations and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary anesthesia and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
