Job Summary:
The Dietary Call Center Representative plays a crucial role in assisting patients and their families with meal orders over the telephone, ensuring adherence to nutritional guidelines and providing appropriate recommendations.

Key Position Details:
  • 2 FTE (8 hours/week)
  • Day/Evening availability
  • Ability to work in a high-volume call office
  • Strong communication skills to handle escalated conversations
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple computer programs
  • Previous experience in Food Service or Call Center preferred
  • Weekend availability required


Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming calls and manage the patient meal ordering process
  • Assist in processing room service patient orders
  • Follow specific diet and tray guidelines
  • Place call backs for patients who have not ordered
  • Follow nutritional guidelines for each patient's diet order
  • Adhere to patient's nutritional guide
  • Request diet checks if necessary
  • Process orders for guest trays and default trays
  • Maintain high levels of customer service
  • Perform other assigned duties

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum age of 16 years
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0 to 2 years in healthcare and/or customer service required
  • Physical Demands: Light work - Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently
