Job Class Overview:
This role involves planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive training program within a state agency.
Duties Include:
- Developing and evaluating a training program
- Establishing a training calendar
- Conducting needs assessments
- Researching and creating course content
- Monitoring program outcomes and providing technical assistance
- Coordinating distribution of training materials
- Providing consultative services to agency managers
- Contributing to organization development
- Reviewing Funding and Coding in CORE-CT system

- Effective interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills

Minimum Qualifications:
General Experience: Six (6) years of professional experience in training, staff development, or adult education.
Special Experience: One (1) year within the General Experience must involve planning, developing, or coordinating an in-service training or staff development program.
Substitutions Allowed:
- College training can substitute for General Experience up to four years for a Bachelor's degree.
- A Master's degree in a related field can substitute for one (1) year of General Experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts on diverse training topics
- Background in needs assessments and training program objectives
- Delivery of in-person training sessions
- Content creation for in-house training programs
- Experience in highway maintenance and repair
- Coordination and development of training programs
- Working with CORE-CT system for Purchase Orders
Special Requirements:
- Incumbents may need specialized certifications for designated positions
- Travel may be required for this role
- Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license may be mandatory
