Job Description: As a Training Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating efforts related to organizational and employee training needs within your designated area. This position involves consulting with bureau leadership, engaging with internal stakeholders, and collaborating with experts to address learning requirements, instruction, and scheduling. In addition to assisting with mandatory trainings, you will contribute to the design and development of specialized curriculum to bridge any skill or knowledge gaps. Your responsibilities will include managing training schedules, processing course registrations, arranging classroom spaces, preparing course materials, maintaining a training calendar, tracking progress, and providing regular reports on programs and outcomes.

Selection Criteria:

To be eligible for this position, you must have been a State of CT employee with the agency mentioned above for a minimum of six (6) months of full-time service or equivalent, and meet the Minimum Qualifications specified in the job opening. Substitutions Allowed:

  • College training can substitute for General Experience up to four years for a Bachelor's degree.
  • A Master's degree in a related field can substitute for one (1) year of General Experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts on diverse training topics
  • Background in needs assessments and training program objectives
  • Delivery of in-person training sessions
  • Content creation for in-house training programs
  • Experience in highway maintenance and repair
  • Coordination and development of training programs
  • Working with CORE-CT system for Purchase Orders

Special Requirements:

  • Incumbents may need specialized certifications for designated positions
