We have an immediate full-time 2nd shift opening for a new team member to join our Raw Material Department in Portland. This is an entry-level opportunity supported by a team that will train you to perform in our unique environment.
What you can expect to be doing:
This position is "hands on" and the individual should have a self-starter mindset.Sort cardboard into designated areasBaile cardboard using a Cardboard Bailing MachinePrep raw materials for processing by de-coring using equipment or a utility knifeMove prepared raw materials to the production line using a forkliftOther duties as assigned to assist department associatesMaintain clean work area and dispose of pellets or other raw material overflowWhat we are looking for in our hires:
Our successful candidates are self-starters who are willing to learnHave a strong work ethic - dependable and demonstrate good attendanceAble to work a Monday - Friday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pmAble to meet the physical qualifications for this position which include:Lift, push, or pull up to 50 poundsStanding for an extended period of timeLift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reachWorking in both hot and cold conditionsMust be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorshipPrevious work in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not necessaryLastly, have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed.What Ultra-Poly Offers:
