Position: Major Gifts Officer

Salary Range: $78,000 to $135,000 per year, based on experience and location + Bonus Potential

Role Overview:

  • Manage the entire fundraising process for major gifts, focusing on donations of $10k and above mainly from individuals and some family foundations.
  • Handle a portfolio of major donors with support from a prospect research team.
  • Emphasize cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding both existing and new donors.
  • Collaborate closely with regional leaders to optimize resources and boost revenue.
  • Join a growing major gifts program, offering vast opportunities for professional development and input into best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fundraising activities for a group of major gifts donors and prospects.
  • Work with local leadership to enhance fundraising efforts at the community level.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of development strategies, campaigns, and best practices.
  • Generate and deliver fundraising updates and reports.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to produce fundraising materials.
  • Travel locally to engage with potential donors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in fundraising.
  • Bachelor's degree is a must.
  • Proven experience in securing substantial donations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
  • Comfort with regular travel.
  • Self-driven attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge or a similar platform.
