The company specializes in structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication and erection. We are AISC certified and looking for an experienced Production Manager/Shop Foreman to join our team.


As a shop foreman you will be required to supervise all shop personnel, manage shop production, inventory and enforce safety policies.

Support the field crew with their needs for material, equipment and supplies. Oversee the maintenance and management of all equipment and ensure the efficiency of operations in accordance with AISC standards.

Responsibilities include:
Training, supervising and evaluating shop employees.

Preparing employee work schedule, manage shop hours verses allottee budget estimates.

Manage shipping and receiving. Document bills of lading.

Quality control inspection of shop employees' work versus fabrication drawings, welding and tolerance.

Arrive early at 6:45 AM and be the last to leave to ensure next day's assignments, materials and supplies.

Computer Savvy.

Properly educated for this position, capable of intelligent communication both verbal and written.

Vocational training, CTI, Certified Welder AWS D1.1, fabrication skills.

Valid drivers license and drug testing is required.

Proficient with AWS and ASIC procedures, read to read detail fabrication drawings.

Order materials and shop consumables, gasses, welding supplies.

Impeccable documentation and organization.

Review shop time cards and address employee issues.

Ensure shop employees adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Multiple languages are a plus.

Pay:
From $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
