We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in the Structural Services Division.

About the Role:

This position plays a critical role in supporting the mission of the Structures Division by collaborating with licensed engineers to prepare engineering designs or evaluations for various projects.

The successful candidate will be part of the design team in the execution and management of projects, utilizing software to perform structural design and/or analysis of footings, foundations, beams, columns, floor assemblies, and lateral bracing in various materials including reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural evaluation of existing buildings and components and prepare engineering reports.
  • Prepare bid specifications and contract documents for new construction and repair projects, including the preparation of supporting construction documents or details.
  • Perform progress inspections of construction projects and prepare construction observation reports.
  • Perform inspections of structural damage and prepare detailed engineering analysis reports.
  • All aspects of project management, including communication with project inspectors, technicians, and clients.
Requirements:
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills and ability to use sound engineering judgement.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems to maintain project documents including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of BIM Technologies (REVIT).
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering related to construction (Civil, Architectural, Construction) with a concentration in structural engineering.
  • 4-5 years of experience in structural design and analysis for buildings.
  • Experience in a construction or engineering office.
  • Professional Licensure preferred.
