Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical design on multi-discipline new construction and retrofit projects
  • Develop, review and audit basis of design, construction specifications, construction drawings, 3D design and construction models, submittals, and electrical engineering system study reports (short circuit/load flow study, arc flash study, etc)
  • Perform value engineering which utilizes alternative means and methods but keep the functionality of the systems
  • Perform technical bid evaluation for the electrical equipment and electrical installation proposals
  • Assist project control team to develop, review, update electrical design, procurement, and installation schedule to achieve the target Start of Production
  • Review field observation reports from the electrical contractors and perform periodic field investigations
  • Present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences
  • Participate to develop the electrical design guidelines and discuss improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience for buildings-related design projects
  • Battery manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, petrochemical plant design experience
  • Large industrial background
  • In depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc
  • Ability to manage projects and prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP/Easy Power
