Overview:


As National CDU Channel Manager, the candidate's primary task is to develop and drive the channel strategy, whilst ensuring all sales revenue targets are achieved in accordance with company expectations.


Channel strategies for the CDU's will include (but not limited too) internal cross collaboration with food grocery retail key account end user sales teams, food service/forecourt & convenience end users (Quik Trip etc), distribution sales through major wholesalers (URI/Johnson), plus major dealers across North America (Climate Pros/CoolSys).

This person will be responsible for determining and implementing the channels have the correct tools, training and marketing to enable sales across multiple market sectors.


The successful applicant will become a key person within the North American CO2 sales team and will report direct to the North American Sales Director.

  • High level of sales and business acumen
  • Experience in managing start-up sales channels is preferred
  • High levels of sales activity with end users, distributors, contractors and consultants working within the commercial market area
  • Assisting customers with the selection of equipment for their projects, alongside the pre-sales application team
  • Ability to communicate across a level of commercial tiers
  • Pipeline management and follow up
  • Proactive approach to the market
  • Excellent presentation skills

Qualifications:

Education:
It is preferred, that the candidate has a relevant education such as mechanical engineering or business degree.

Practical experience:


The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of key account and or business development experience from within the refrigeration, HVAC or any related sectors and that the candidate knows what it takes to work with technical project sales within a commercial environment.

The candidate can document their focus on sales, including the development and retention of customers and customer relationships.

It is a clear advantage if the candidate has experience with CO2 refrigeration or has experience of working in a company of similar size than CARRIER.

  • New business development experience (hunter profile)
  • Key Account and distribution experience and strong network management skills
  • Challenger mindset
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial refrigeration industry within North America
  • Experienced in management and updating of sales pipeline
  • Has experiences of working with tools like Salesforce or similar
  • Knowledge of digital tools suitable for sales such as LinkedIn, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint
